🛕 Kedarnath Yatra Itinerary from Haridwar & Rishikesh

Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Guptkashi

• Distance: Approximately 210 km (7–8 hours)
• Route: Haridwar → Rishikesh → Devprayag → Rudraprayag → Guptkashi
• Highlights:
  • Devprayag: Confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers.
  • Dhari Devi Temple: Dedicated to Goddess Dhari.
  • Rudraprayag: Confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
• Accommodation: Hotel Krishna, Hotel Himalayan View
• Meals: Dinner at the hotel
• Departure: 5:00 AM from Haridwar Railway Station

• Route Overview: The journey from Haridwar to Rishikesh is approximately 25 km on a well-maintained road. From Rishikesh to Rudraprayag, it’s about 140 km via NH 58, a smooth road with gentle hilly curves, offering a scenic drive.

Day 2: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

• Distance: Guptkashi → Gaurikund: 35 km by road
• Trek: Gaurikund → Kedarnath: 16 km (6–7 hours)
• Alternative: Helicopter ride from Phata/Sersi to Kedarnath (10–15 minutes)
• Activities:
  • Drive to Gaurikund.
  • Begin the trek to Kedarnath or take the helicopter option.
  • Visit the Kedarnath Temple for darshan.
  • Participate in the evening Aarti at the temple.

• Note: Helicopter services are available from Phata/Sersi to Kedarnath. It’s advisable to book in advance. 

Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi

• Trek: Kedarnath → Gaurikund: 16 km
• Drive: Gaurikund → Guptkashi: 35 km
• Activities:
  • Early morning visit to the temple for Abhishek Puja.
  • Trek back to Gaurikund.
  • Drive back to Guptkashi.

• Note: The trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund is approximately 16 km. Ponies and palkis are available for hire. 

Day 4: Guptkashi to Rishikesh

• Route: Guptkashi → Rudraprayag → Devprayag → Rishikesh
• Activities:
  • Drive to Rishikesh, visiting en route attractions.
  • In Rishikesh, explore local sights such as Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.
• Accommodation: Hotel Ganga View, Parmarth Niketan Ashram
• Meals: Breakfast and dinner at the hotel
• Note: Rishikesh is known for its spiritual ambiance and yoga centers. 

• Day 5: Rishikesh Sightseeing

• Activities:
  • Visit local temples and ashrams, including Sivananda Ashram, Gita Bhawan, and Parmarth Niketan.
  • Enjoy the serene environment and spiritual ambiance of Rishikesh.
• Meals: Breakfast and dinner at the hotel
• Note: Rishikesh offers various activities like yoga sessions, river rafting, and nature walks.

Day 6: Rishikesh to Haridwar

• Distance: Rishikesh → Haridwar: 25 km (1 hour)
• Activities:
  • After breakfast, drive to Haridwar.
  • Explore local markets and temples before concluding the tour.
• Meals: Breakfast at the hotel
• Note: Haridwar is known for its ghats and temples, including Har Ki Pauri.
