Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Sankri

– Arrive in Sankri, a small village and the base camp for the Kedarkantha trek.

– You can reach Sankri by road from Dehradun, which takes around 10-11 hours.

– Overnight stay in guesthouse or camps in Sankri.

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab

– Start the trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab.

– The trekking distance is around 4-5 kilometers and takes approximately 4-5 hours.

– Pass through dense forests and meadows.

– Reach Juda Ka Talab, a beautiful lake surrounded by pine trees.

– Overnight camping near the lake.

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Base Camp

Time Duration:- 4-5 hrs 

Altitude :–9200 to 11300 ft

Trek Distence:-4-5 km

– Trek from Juda Ka Talab to Base Camp.

– The trekking distance is around 3-4 kilometers and takes approximately 3-4 hours.

– Ascend through oak and pine forests.

– Reach the base camp situated at an altitude of around 11,250 feet.

– Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

– Overnight camping at the base camp.

Day 4: Base Camp to Kedarkantha Summit and back to Hargaon

– Start early in the morning to trek to the Kedarkantha Summit.

– The trekking distance to the summit is around 4-5 kilometers and takes approximately 4-5 hours.

– Experience breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak.

– Descend back to the base camp.

– Trek further down to Hargaon.

– Overnight camping at Hargaon.

Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri and Departure

– Trek back from Hargaon to Sankri.

– The trekking distance is around 5-6 kilometers and takes approximately 4-5 hours.

– Reach Sankri and conclude the trek.

– Depart from Sankri and head back to Dehradun or your onward destinatio.
