Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Govindghat

– Arrive in Govindghat, the starting point for the Valley of Flowers trek.

– Travel to Govindghat by road from Haridwar or Rishikesh.

– Check-in to a guesthouse or hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Govindghat to Ghangaria

– Start the trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria early in the morning.

– Trekking distance is approximately 13 kilometers and takes around 5-6 hours.

– The trail passes through lush forests and alongside the Pushpawati River.

– Reach Ghangaria, a small settlement located at an altitude of around 3,000 meters.

– Check-in to a guesthouse or campsite for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back

– Trek from Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers early in the morning.

– Trekking distance is around 3 kilometers and takes approximately 2-3 hours.

– Explore the Valley of Flowers, marveling at its diverse flora and breathtaking scenery.

– Spend several hours exploring the valley, taking photographs, and enjoying the natural beauty.

– Return to Ghangaria by late afternoon.

– Visit Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine located at an altitude of around 4,300 meters.

– Return to Ghangaria by late afternoon.

Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat and departure

– Trek back from Ghangaria to Govindghat early in the morning.

– Trekking distance is approximately 13 kilometers and takes around 5-6 hours.

– Reach Govindghat by late afternoon.

– Depart from Govindghat and travel to Haridwar or Rishikesh by road.
